Name
CAPTURE THE FLAG
Description

Version2, Dubex and one of the worlds best hacking team – “Kalmarunionen” – are hosting a Capture The Flag (CTF) competition on V2 Security, 11th of May 2023.

Who can join in?
The CTF-competition is for everyone, that finds IT-security interesting. The competition is open for newcomers and intermediates. Det most important factor is your curiosity and that you dare try new things. You will be educated – and challenged – in your security competences in disciplines such as Web-hacking, Binary Exploitation (PWN), Reversing, Forensics and Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT).

Why participate?
Are you interested in learning more about the specific types of web-hacking, such as SQL-injection or use of forensics to locate a foreign user in your systems? Are you interested in the use of OSINT as a tool to find a user? Well, then this CTF competition is just for you!
Most importantly, you will get the opportunity of using your skillset in these disciplines, acquiring new tools and techniques, and be having fun all at the same time!

And the cherry on top of it? There will be awesome hacker-inspired prices for the winners along with the first and second runner up – all sponsored by Dubex.

What do you need to participate?
To be able to participate in the competition, you have to bring a computer that you have the administration rights for, so that you are able to run security-programs on it. We recommend that you have a Linux operative system installed, such as Kali or Ubuntu, to ensure that you are able to install the necessary tools. A lot of the assignments are however solvable directly from your web browser on your Windows Pc or Chromebook.

We look forward to seeing you!

Sign yourself or your team up – and remember to bring your computer to the V2 Security expo. You will be challenged by some of the best IT-security experts, have the possibility to CTF as well as expanding your network and meeting like-minded IT- and security interested people.
Seize the opportunity and join us in exploring the world of hacking and IT-security.

It is possible to participate as a single player or as a team. You can sign up in the registration flow.
