Why is Infosecurity Denmark changing its name?

As you have probably noticed, Denmark's largest expo on cyber and information security is now called V2 Security.

The concept remains the same - 2 days with 60 suppliers in the exhibitions area and 100 seminars divided in 8 conference halls. Here there will be presentations, debates and sparring on the newest threats and solutions within e.g. cybercrime, cloud security and compliance.

Once again there will be 3,000 managers and specialists in place in Øksnehallen from both the private and public sector.

The license for the name Infosecurity Denmark expired in 2021 for which reason 2021 was the last year with the familiar red logo.

The brand Infosecurity will from here on out only exist in the country of origin, England. This means that both the Dutch and Belgian Infosecurity have had their last year with the Infosecurity brand in 2021 as well.

We, within Teknologiens Mediehus, maintain a close relation to the Infosecurity hinterland and continue to spar with each other on current trends, themes and interesting keynotes.

Our IT and technology media, Version2, has always been the organizer of the expo in Denmark. Version2 has therefore lent its name to the concept - hereof the name V2 Security.

Version2's editorial office and the expo's advisory board wish to create more space for debates and to have an increased focus on compliance and management within the IT security industry.

At V2 Security you will find a specific line of keynotes and debates which is concerned with data protection and compliance. Working with compliance across organizations becomes of increasing importance - both in order to protect basic civil rights but also to ensure that unwanted eyes do not get access to research and business findings.

New legislation, especially from EU, is exacting organizations, who are developing new workflows, to be compliant with the legal provisions and avoid data security breaches and large fines.
