David Archer is a Solution Architect at Endor Labs with a career that spans software engineering, product leadership, and customer-facing technical roles. He began as a developer and has spent over two decades observing how software creation has transformed, from traditional development lifecycles to today’s fast, AI-assisted and highly iterative ways of building.

Throughout these shifts, he consistently noticed a recurring challenge. As teams move faster and adopt new ways of coding, security is often deprioritised in favour of delivery speed and experimentation.

In 2018, David chose to focus full-time on application security, driven by a desire to help organisations embrace modern development practices without introducing unmanaged risk. With hands-on experience in secure coding, code analysis approaches, and developer workflows, he developed a practical understanding of how security fits into a contemporary software factory.

Today, his work centres on helping teams adopt AI-accelerated and “vibe coding” styles of development in a way that keeps innovation high while ensuring security remains an integral, continuous part of the process rather than an afterthought.
