Name
Beyond the Acronyms: A Practical Framework for Securing Enterprise AI
Description

MAGIC RAP. No... that isn't the actual topic of our session. But in a world where we are drowning in an enormous number of names (MCP, RAG, AI, etc) - it’s just one more word I could construct out of the alphabet soup we live in today.

The reality behind the acronyms is much more urgent: AI adoption is outpacing security. That is a fact. In the enterprise race for productivity, a dangerous ""AI Gap"" has emerged, leaving security teams blind to the explosion of Shadow AI across their networks. Proprietary code and sensitive data are silently leaking through unmonitored prompts. Meanwhile, internal private LLM projects grapple with a critical ""loss of identity"" that flattens user context and erodes traditional access controls.

This session will not claim ""revolution,"" ""uniqueness,"" or any other marketing buzzwords. Instead, we will present a practical Symantec Framework for AI Protection designed to close that gap - moving beyond simply blocking AI to enabling it safely.

We will demonstrate how to secure both public generative AI and internal enterprise models using Symantec Solutions, featuring:

• Bi-Directional Protection: Preventing sensitive data from entering models during prompts and training, while simultaneously ensuring sensitive outputs cannot be extracted by unauthorized users.

• Identity-Aware Access Control: Exploring how data compliance and policy enforcement work together to protect AI interactions in both directions without losing user context.

• The Rise of Agents & MCP: A look at agentic architectures and the Model Context Protocol - and how the same framework secures and manages these complex systems through simple human language.
