Defending a nation under fire: Real-world lessons in cyber resilience for European countries
Description
In today’s challenging security landscape, cyberattacks rarely occur in isolation: they are increasingly synchronized with physical operations to maximize disruption, confusion and strategic leverage. This speech explores how hybrid warfare actors exploit supply chains - digital and physical alike - as high-value targets, aiming to paralyze essential services and erode societal resilience. Drawing on concrete lessons from Ukraine’s experience with coordinated cyber-physical aggression, the talk outlines how Danish companies and public authorities can adopt a “continuity-by-design” mindset, embedding resilience, redundancy and rapid-recovery principles into their technologies, partnerships and processes. The audience will gain practical insights into recognizing hybrid-warfare patterns, protecting critical infrastructure, and building the organizational preparedness needed to operate and recover under sustained, multidomain pressure.
