Lance McGrath, CSO , Danske Bank

Lance leads the security program at one of the leading Nordic banks, which also has a substantial presence in Northern Ireland.

A geek at heart, he began his career in IT but quickly focused on security – which, as he came to learn, is not solely an IT domain, even if there is significant overlap between the two.

He has worked at a Fortune 100 U.S. life sciences company, advised almost all of Switzerland’s top 20 largest companies as a security consultant with Deloitte, and served as a divisional CISO with Switzerland’s second largest bank.

He is now at the helm of Danske Bank’s cyber and physical security function, while also helping steer the bank’s operational resilience and third party risk programs.
