Our Chief Delivery Officer, Mads Jakobsen, is appointed Chief Executive Officer of Sentia. Since Sentia became part of Aeven Group, Mads has served as Integration Officer and is now looking forward to bringing his experience into play as executive leader in Sentia: "I'm incredibly pleased to be entrusted with the role as CEO in Sentia. After a number of years of mergers and divestitures, it is my assessment that we in Sentia must now focus on stable operations and growth. I'm very much looking forward to beginning this work together with my new colleagues," says Mads Jakobsen. Lotte Østergaard, who is a familiar face in Aeven and to many of our customers, will join Aeven's Executive Leadership Team as Chief Delivery Officer and thus represent Aeven's customers in the management group. “The close relationship with our customers is part of Aeven's DNA and has been from the beginning. The direct dialogue is extremely important in the work with digital infrastructure, because stable and secure operations are absolutely essential in a world that is developing at a rapid pace. Last week, our colleagues Jesper Nymark Pedersen and Thomas Colberg together with Comstor Nordics had the pleasure of visiting the Cisco Meraki HQ in London to explore the latest innovations in networking technology.    In the company of experts within the field, Jesper and Thomas were introduced to a wide selection of products, such as Meraki MS switches, MX security appliances, and a wide range of access points - all made to optimize the retail experience.     "It is always rewarding to connect with industry leaders, and we are excited to bring our newly acquired knowledge home with us. It’s always nice when you’re reassured that what you do is actually as impressive to others as it is to you. On Tuesday, Uptime Institute and a number of their members visited one of our state-of-the-art data centers and confirmed that we have something great going on here 👏   As tour guides, Lasse Lanng Pedersen and Peter Kristian Søgaard presented the inside of our data centers to peers from the industry, highlighting our focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.     Both our data centers are Tier III certified by Uptime Institute, and they are valued partners in the process of continuously improving the way we operate our data centers. Today marks the annual event Earth Day. We would like to take this opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to responsibility within the IT industry. Technology plays a crucial role in our society, and it’s important to acknowledge that our digital infrastructure has a large impact on our environment. We understand the responsibility that comes with operating data centers, and we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint. Our Data Center Director Peter Kristian Søgaard elaborates on some of the initiatives: “Due to the significant amount of electricity required to operate our data centers, we’re continuously exploring ways to minimize emissions. This involves our Power Usage Effectiveness and implementing energy-efficient solutions.” Our commitment extends beyond our own operations. We believe in fostering a culture of sustainability across the entire IT industry. Through collaboration, knowledge-sharing and advocacy, we can collectively work towards a greener future. Wrapping up our week on a high note! Today we had the pleasure of meeting several aspiring young IT professionals from TEC - Technical Education Copenhagen eager to embark on their career journey. Engaging with these talented students was both inspiring and rewarding. Rune Hansen, Victor Ulrich Nielsen and Jon Langhoff-Arpac seized the opportunity to not only share valuable insights about our dynamic industry and diverse career paths, but also offer them a glimpse into the world of Aeven. Encountering such bright minds reaffirms our commitment to mentorship and fostering the next generation.
