In software development, efficiency and security are often at odds. But now, automation can help you meet and maintain best practices that protect your code throughout the entire CI/CD process. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)’s Secure Software Development Framework (SSDF) offers a roadmap for reducing vulnerabilities and preventing exploitation. 💻 Q-Day can be an extinction-level event—but it doesn’t have to be. Q-Day is the unspecified-but-inevitable day when quantum computers will be capable of breaking the encryption algorithms we currently rely on to secure the internet and a host of digital processes. Watch this short clip from DigiCert CEO Amit Sinha’s CUBE Conversation, where he explains the implications for organizations and the urgent need to start preparing now for the era of post-quantum cryptography. Join us in learning what post-quantum readiness looks like and pre-register for the World #QuantumReadinessDay virtual event: https://lnkd.in/gDAf9uk8 #quantumcomputing #postquantumcryptography #PQC #harvestnowdecryptlater #digitaltrust

Special thanks to our DigiCert team, event speakers, customers, and partners for making the #DigiCertTrustSummit roadshows a success 💙
DigiCert Trust Summit roadshows culminated in Tokyo this week, going through New York, Chicago, London, Munich and Melbourne! The long flights gave me time to think about what I am grateful for and the opportunity ahead. Here are my 5 key takeaways from our roadshow. 1⃣ Customers love DigiCert. We had so many customer leaders join us on stage to share their Digital Trust journey. They are excited about the Awesome Innovations we are delivering for them. 2⃣ We have a passionate and knowledgeable team that breathes Customer Obsession. No wonder our NPS is 80. 3⃣ PKI is foundational infrastructure for Digital Trust. Customers are looking for a modern SaaS platform to centrally manage their cryptographic assets to eliminate critical system outages and reduce business risk. 4⃣ There is rising awareness around the urgency to prepare for Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC). Most organizations are woefully unprepared. 5⃣ Content Trust in a world of Generative AI is a big concern. We need industry standards to solidify to easily flag real from fake content. According to a recent Ponemon Institute Report, only 23% of respondents said they have a strategy for addressing the security implications of quantum computing. But the good news is that many organizations have already put some of the core principles of crypto-agility in play. “Digital transformation is already pushing organizations to move at a rapid pace. For example, DevOps teams are constantly testing and iterating as they push the envelope to innovate, get to market faster, and maintain their business advantage. This means organizations may be more ready for post-quantum cryptography than they think—and achieving it is a goal that they can focus on right away.” Brian Trzupek, SVP of Product at DigiCert, outlines some practical steps organizations can take to move forward on their crypto-agility journey in this new Fast Company article. https://lnkd.in/gqBKg9Yz #quantumcomputing #pqc #cryptoagility #postquantumcryptography #fastcompany

DigiCert reposted this
It was great to meet our ANZ customers and partners at the DigiCert Trust Summit in Melbourne this week. We are proud to serve over 70% of organizations listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. A hot discussion topic was Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and the need for crypto agility. Just this week the Australian government announced a bold $1B investment to build a utility-scale quantum computer. Check out my interview on Bloomberg on implications and what progressive organizations are doing prepare for PQC. Special thanks to Geoff Lamb (ANZ), Renier V. (Export Finance Australia), Stephen Read (Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA)) and Mansour Ganji (One New Zealand) for joining me on stage to share their Digital Trust journey. https://lnkd.in/gj_p8T4K

The pandemic taught us that much of what we thought had to happen in person could be done online, but there’s one important task that many people still aren’t comfortable completing from a computer: voting. In any democracy, the ideal voting method needs to hit three key targets: * Fraud prevention: Ensuring every vote is legitimate. * Privacy: Protecting voters' choices from prying eyes. * Cost-effectiveness: Making elections affordable for everyone. From paper ballots to voting machines to mail-in ballots, our latest article looks at the various voting methods in use today to examine which are the most—and least—secure, and how technologies like AI could transform the election landscape. #electionsecurity #AI #digitaltrust #cybersecurity #voting
