We are still not over the inspiring moments from the FINANS IMPACT Awards held almost two weeks ago! The video here sums it up perfectly – we celebrated the winners, networked across companies and heard perspectives on ESG from some of Denmark’s top executives. Bianca Bruhn and Jacob Aarup-Andersen, among others, took the stage and talked about how companies can succeed with their ESG ambitions. Here, Jacob emphasised that it is important to set a framework and define clear end goals. Once again, congratulations to this year’s winners: Tine Arentsen Willumsen, PFA, STARK, Lyras A/S and Matas A/S. We are so proud to be part of this event in collaboration with Finans – and we already look forward to next year!

This year, six of our employees are cycling to Paris with Team Rynkeby. Among them are Katrine Schjelde Johnsson and Sabina Kjølby Møller Fogh, who are joining for the first time. Here, they share insights into their motivation and expectations for the trip. • What gave you the idea to become part of Team Rynkeby?  Katrine: "I first became acquainted with it a few years ago through my father-in-law and my former boss, both of whom spoke highly of it. I made the final decision because, in 2024, I decided that I wanted to focus on myself and take on new challenges. Team Rynkeby is a really good cause, and at the same time, I could immerse myself in something I had never tried before. This involved several things: raising money, being part of a project in this way, and learning to ride a racing bike.” Sabina: “My friend Kristine, who cycled with them last year, talked a lot about it and how much she enjoyed it. She went to a training camp in Mallorca where they could bring a +1. I went along, learned how to ride with the team and gained insight into their community across all ages and all the good work they do to support critically ill children. I was really captivated by this, and I also found that I enjoyed cycling.” • What are you looking forward to the most?  Katrine: “I'm incredibly excited to stand at the Eiffel Tower in Paris and say we did it. It’s a victory in several ways: for myself, making it all the way to Paris on a racing bike, and for all the fundraising work and contributions we’ll have achieved. It will be an emotional moment." Sabina: "I'm of course looking very much forward to the trip to Paris itself, but I'm also excited about training a lot with the team, feeling myself getting in better shape and contributing to the good cause alongside the team. It’s the whole process that I’m looking forward to." • What are you the most nervous about or fear the most?  Katrine: “What I fear the most is going downhill – not uphill. I think that's frightening. I need to work on that with myself. Otherwise, I don't think I fear much because I don't know what to expect. That's probably a good thing.” Sabina: “I think it’s the training, and whether I feel ready when the trip starts, it's a big challenge. Eight days and many kilometres lie ahead. It’s going to be tough, testing your endurance to see if you can handle it.”     Thank you both so much for sharing your thoughts! At KPMG, we are proud to sponsor Team Rynkeby for the seventh year in a row, and we look forward to following our employees on their trip to Paris💛

Meet Katrine Gybel who is a Partner in our Audit department in Aarhus. This year, she is celebrating 10 years at KPMG along with 42 other colleagues. Below, Katrine has shared some words about her journey with KPMG, including her most memorable moments and development.      How has your role evolved since you started?   ”I have been an auditor for more than half of my life, and naturally, my role has evolved significantly over the years. Especially in the last 10 years, I have had many opportunities to engage in various projects and constantly develop myself during my time here.”        What is the most memorable lesson you have learned over the past 10 years?   "I have experienced how much can be achieved when working together with good people who are passionate about reaching a common goal. KPMG's development and growth over the past 10 years can largely be attributed to good colleagues with good ideas - and the support to take it further."       What is your favorite project you have been involved in?   "I have been involved in many exciting projects and worked with various clients, but the most rewarding aspect is being part of the leadership team in Audit Aarhus. Our department has grown significantly in recent years, and it is our responsibility to maintain our colleagues' motivation and show them the many opportunities that KPMG can offer. Working with people in all their diverse forms is a true pleasure for me. That's why I strive to see more diversity in our industry, especially when it comes to gender distribution. Promoting diversity is a cause I am passionate about, as I believe it strengthens our ability to create a more inclusive and dynamic workplace, benefiting both KPMG and our clients."       How has KPMG developed?   "Over the past 10 years, KPMG has undergone significant changes and development. We have transitioned from being a “startup” to becoming an established and influential Big 4 firm in Denmark. This transformation is a result of the dedicated efforts of our employees, who shape and set the course for KPMG - both 10 years ago, now and in the future."       Join us in congratulating Katrine on reaching this milestone🥳

AI is here, there and everywhere – and it has also found its way to global procurement functions. According to Christina Schak Møller, Head of Procurement Advisory, this is also the case in Denmark, where AI is increasingly transforming internal processes such as procurement: “Procurement is an area that is gaining significant traction. We also see that new disruptors, such as generative AI, are impacting the operating model of procurement and leading to requirements for new roles and behaviours” In fact, our new Future of Procurement report finds that GenAI is expected to be the technology with the biggest impact over the next 12-18 months. Explore this and other key forces that change procurement functions here:  https://lnkd.in/dwwh_BwW 📧 Reach out to Christina if you would like to hear more about how we can assist your procurement function.

For the 4th year in a row, we have partnered with Female Leadership Academy for their workshops supporting female leaders of tomorrow. Each semester, all workshops are hosted at our office in Copenhagen. We have recently concluded this spring’s academy with a final workshop focusing on entrepreneurship with Vera Rocha and Augusta Klingsten Peytz (founder of FLA) sharing interesting insights.  Augusta, among others, discussed her experience being both a part of and founder of a start-up, emphasising that one should dare to take the leap and join a start-up. It's always inspiring to meet so many talented young women, and seeing them leave the workshops with a backpack full of tools and perspectives makes us proud to be part of this partnership. We are looking forward to the next academy, which will begin in October. Applications will open after the summer holiday, but you can already stay updated by signing up to become a member of FLA: https://lnkd.in/dzQAN8T

What a Monday! Earlier this week, a group of KPMG employees participated in the Womenomics summit arranged by Above & Beyond Group. The summit explores diversity, inclusion and women’s impact on the global economy. It was such an inspiring day filled with insights and perspectives that we can learn and grow from as a company to become even better at fostering diversity and inclusion within our organisation. Employer Branding Manager, Anouska Wage, participated in the summit and to her a few insights stand out: “The topic cultural transformation is so relevant for all organisations. We need to realise that to change for the better and become more inclusive, we must go through a proper transformation, with all its ups and downs and discomforts included. We are four different generations in many companies, not making it any easier. While some generations have their focus on an equal gender split, Gen Z is already further ahead and thinking about a much broader DEI perspective. This means that we can all learn a lot from each other in the DEI sphere." Thank you to Above & Beyond Group for a great day – and for educating us all throughout the past 10 years. Many of our employees have benefited from this by participating in leadership training, and we look forward to continuing this!
