    KMD and Pondoo Enter into Strategic Partnership to Enhance Home Care with AI and Data KMD is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with software company Pondoo. This partnership involves integrating Pondoo's AI-based visit scheduling with the KMD Nexus platform, with the aim of automating and optimizing key processes within home care. The goal of the partnership is to create a more cohesive and individually tailored care experience for elderly citizens. At the same time, employees' time is freed from administrative tasks, allowing them to focus on the essential task of providing care and support to the elderly. "We are excited about the collaboration with KMD and look forward to creating new, intelligent solutions for the home care sector. This partnership represents our joint effort to support dignified home care in Denmark," says Gitte Amstrup Sandlykke, CEO of Pondoo. The next step for the partnership between KMD and Pondoo is a pilot project with Norddjurs Municipality and Lemvig Municipality, which will be implemented during the third quarter.     Today, let's visit to the KMD office in Denmark! Read on to discover one of NEC's worldwide offices with a stunning view of nature. 👀 KMD, a member of the NEC group of companies, has its offices in Ballerup, Odense, Aarhus, and Aalborg in Denmark and in Warsaw, Poland. Today we will visit one of their offices in Aalborg, Denmark, in the northern part of Jutland. The office is located near a large cove in Denmark and offers an amazing view of the ocean from inside. It is designed with plenty of windows, offering a calm ambiance while working. 🌊 There are also two glass bridges within the center of the building that go each direction across the cove, allowing people to enter and exit.     Teknologiforståelse skal være en fast del af skoleskemaet. I en verden, hvor teknologien udvikler sig med lynets hast, er det vigtigere end nogensinde, at vores børn og unge får de nødvendige digitale kompetencer. Derfor hilser vi i KMD regeringens beslutning om at integrere teknologiforståelse i folkeskolen velkommen. Men vi mener dog ligesom IT-Branchen, at ambitionerne bør være meget højere. KMD har i mange år været en fast del af Coding Class-initiativet, hvor vi har oplevet, hvordan undervisning i kodning i en begrænset periode ikke bare giver eleverne vigtige færdigheder, men også inspirerer dem til kreativitet og innovation. Men de kan opnå så meget mere, hvis teknologiforståelse ikke kun bliver et valgfag, men en integreret del af alle elevers læring. Teknologiforståelse er nøglen til at forberede vores unge til fremtidens udfordringer og muligheder. Det handler ikke kun om at kode – det handler om at forstå og kritisk reflektere over den teknologi, der former vores samfund. Vi glæder os til at følge de kommende forhandlinger om teknologiforståelse i folkeskolen og håber fortsat, at teknologiforståelse bliver en obligatorisk del af skoleskemaet for alle elever.

    Across the KMD Group, our female colleagues play a key role in driving our business. Their contributions are significant, inspiring, as well as critical to our business, our solutions, and our culture. Women are still a minority in the IT industry, and it is a gender gap we must bridge if we want to create the digital revolution the world needs.    At KMD we create software solutions for future societies, and to create the best solutions, we need diverse teams. But a diverse workforce cannot stand alone. Diversity doesn’t equal inclusion. To create a culture of inclusion we need to ask for and truly appreciate different perspectives and contributions. We need all strengths to come into play – thus working with inclusion by design all the way through our solutions.    “It’s International Women’s Day and I take stock of the changes since last year: In Denmark, things are improving. Female leaders are still a minority, but they are high in demand. All-male group pics get called out. Tolerance for harassment has an ever-lower threshold," says Jette Singleton, Chief People Officer at KMD. She adds: "The progress has recently compelled certain Danish (male) leaders to publicly call for caution amongst women. They warn that equality has ‘gone too far’. Whatever that means, I take these types of objections as signs we are on the right track. The change we need to bring about will not happen without resistance and I embrace it one conversation at a time. Today and all year round,” Jette Singleton says.   We are fortunate to have so many skilled people in KMD, and today we pay a special tribute to women working with us. These women represent knowledge spanning technology, security, finance, social sciences, and beyond. SVPs, directors, department heads, graduates, product owners, data scientists, scrum masters, developers, sales specialists – the list is long. Our work with diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging is an all-year process. The work is ongoing today and will be again tomorrow. #iwd2024 #internationalwomensday

    Hvorfor er KMD på OffDig 2024?   De offentlige it-systemer gennemgår i disse år store forandringer. I KMD har vi i over 50 år været med til at digitalisere det offentlige Danmark, og vi står selvfølgelig klar til at hjælpe vores kunder, når de har brug for hjælp til at navigere gennem de udfordringer, de står over for.   OffDig 2024 er muligheden for at tale med vores kunder og samarbejdspartnere om de unikke behov, som fornyelsen af den offentlige sektors it-systemer kræver. Reguleringer og besparelser er konstante følgesvende for vores kunder, men KMD’s erfaring har gjort os i stand til at skabe løsninger, som kan lægge fundamentet for en strømlinet moderniseringsproces.   Vores standardløsninger kan kombineres med vores kunders eksisterende systemer, hvilket gør skræddersyede løsninger mulige, og dermed kan vi også opfylde unikke behov. Så der er heldigvis meget at tale om i Musikhuset i Aarhus.   Vi bidrager i øvrigt også med inspirerende oplæg fra en række af vores eksperter om bl.a. konkrete læringseksempler fra digitaliseringen i Asien, sikkerhed og compliance i cloud-projekter og skalerbare grønne løsninger. #offdig #offdig24 #kmdit

    At KMD we continuously work with inclusion – in our business and our organization. Recently we expanded our parental leave policy to include fully paid leave for social parents and close relatives of solo parents. To further support our commitment to inclusion, we have established an Equal Leave Committee. This committee represents a proactive step towards preparing for an unpredictable future, ensuring we actively support all family types equally. While we will continue to learn about inclusion, the committee invites our KMD colleagues to help us shape our policies and make them as inclusive as possible. Now and in the future.
